    Do you have any data sources for temperature reconstructions from proxies for the pre-thermometer era ?

      I do. I've added a link to the NOAA Paleoclimate site, which includes links to the data sources used for numerous reconstructions. The main issue with NOAA Paleoclimate is it's not very user-friendly. You'll need to search for specific reconstructions (i.e. Mann et al. 2008, PAGES 2k).

      Many thanks for that. I guess I can do a search there for most of those listed at http://environmentalforest.blogspot.ca/2013/10/enough-hockey-sticks-for-team.html

      Thanks also for the HadCRUT4 fix. I usually use the annual data rather than the monthly data, so that I don't have to worry about seasonal variation.

      I still cannot get your site to 'Notify me' though. Still, 2 out of 3 isn't bad :-)

Enough hockey sticks for a team

One of the persistent denier myths is that the Hockey Stick (usually meaning Mann, M. E., R. S, Bradley, and M. K. Hughes. 1999. Northern Hemispheric Temperatures During the Past Millenium: Inferences, Uncertainties, and Limitations. Geophysical Research Letters . 26:759-762 ) has been discredited.  Not only is that myth false but Mann et al. Tom Luongo's multiple lies about climate change

An old friend posted an " article " by Tom Luongo, a former chemist (B.S. from the University of Florida) who now writes the Resolute Wealth Newsletter, on Facebook.  Unfortunately, that article is chock full of lies about climate science.  Since Facebook comments aren't the best forum for debunking Gish Gallops, I'm taking the liberty of debunking them here.
